What is God’s word for? Look at Romans 15:4 “ For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.” Sounds to me like God’s word is useful today. Romans15: 5 Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, 6 that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Paul said in Romans that the Word brings patience and comfort. Thank God for His word. It’s a book we should read everyday!!!!!
May you be full of God best today with all His blessings!!:)
Yes, I agree. We should read this everyday. Paul wrote this book from the perspective of a ‘bond servant’. He could have said as a Roman citizen, which would have given him justifiable clout, but he didn’t. He wanted to express his love for Christ and his attitude of gratitude. He wanted to set the example for us all. This is one of the best books in the Bible in my opinion. Men have come to Christ through this book alone. There is a great Bible study podcast on this book at biblestudypodcasts.org I have been listening to it and it is very thorough. I also have a link to the podcast on my blog at akwritan.majesticwebsite.com
